We just wanted to let you know we’re back from our trip! We had a great time and saw many beautiful places…more to come after we sort through the 2500 photos!!! :)

Dependance on the Father

Resting after a good day of being stretched in my reTrain course reading.

Read “Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: Relationships, Roles, and Relevance” by Bruce Ware today and Have been really challenged in seeing just how dependant Jesus was on God the father. And also seeing Jesus as fully God at the same time was completely dependant on the Holy Spirit’s leading.

Thinking through the implications of the God-Man setting aside the right to his divine atributes, and instead “grew in wisdom and stature” by the Spirit, so that “in every way we could identify with him”. I have the same Spirit that was in Christ Jesus, that enables me to live a life of dependace on the Father!

When I take my eyes off of Jesus and look at all the “stuff” that needs to be done, I am no longer dependant on my father and being Spirit led, but focused on myself, and inevitably find myself on the performace treadmill.

Thinking of the ways I distort the image of God by my lack of dependace on Him in my life. Praying through repentance, and being reminded of Romans 8 constantly.
